This project I created uses a Micro:bit, a servo motor, a small dynamo, an IR sensor, and a custom-made conveyor belt to automate item sorting. The IR sensor first detects whenever an item arrives on the belt. If the item is black, it continues moving forward without interruption. However, if the item is any other color, it is scanned and identified using a Teachable Machine model. When the system detects an unwanted item, the Micro:bit sends a signal to the servo, which instantly kicks or pushes the object off the conveyor. This setup makes the sorting process more efficient, consistent, and fully automated.
